the life of... me

hey everybody salaam

aight so heres whats new

tryouts went well

i got lank one of the lead male roles

and my sister got polly the lead female role!

masha Allah

 

anyway the talent show was last thursday

i had to do sound for my sister, diana, antonia, and myslef

alot of work

as my "talent" i performed if a was president by wyclef but i put my own rap section and parts of other wyclef songs

so i played guitar, sang, and rapped........

and won 2nd place!!!

alhamdulillah i got 100 bux!

ms rito organizes the talent show and she gets "celebrity" judges

and i was talking to this producer from manhattan who was judge and he gave me his #

and then i was talking to northstar the rapper (some of u may have heard of him)

and i gave him my #s

 

so ive been havin a good week

 

and its my bday today

im 17

that means R rated movies lol

 

i was at dianas and she got me pants and a head scratcher (very cool)

and my parents are gonna pay the money i owe on my piano

turning 16:/(I noticed everyone on Lj thinks im like 18, bah.) and yeah(from a "modeling" shot, dont ask. doesnt look like me too much.I was 14,shock,I know.)

lol,nooo I didnt think your old, but so young for being in theatre and everything, I dont know, I dont know too many people like you(thats a compliment)I assumed your 19,20.
yeah... I made posts abt it when I first got this thing, its pretty messed...it depresses me, but past is past I guess. I dont do it anymore.at all.
I am,(and this is directly from my mom and dad) 1/3 lebanese,1/3 italien,1/3persian

Hi, sorry this isn't about your topic, but I was going over your reply about Buddha. I remember going to a link with a Dr. Zaida I can't remember his last name and I *really* need to find the link again..but he was mentioning that there are three verses in the Qur'an that says Allah(s.w.t) would send a man to "(name of nation at that time)" and he said that this is modern day India. Dharma also means "law" just like Torah means "law" in Hebrew. Sorry, this is so vague, but I'll really try to find the link again. It's interesting if you go over the life of the Buddha and already know that the signs of prophethood showing in childhood like Isa(s.a.w.s). I remember in one of my clases we read that he rode an invisible horse out of his court yard. Doesn't that have a slight hint of the Buraqa(sp?) that the Prophet(s.a.w.s)rode on the night journey? Also, if you see the movie of the Buddha staring Keanu Reeves (lol) you'll see that while in his childhood he had flowers grow under his feet as he walked. There is also a part in the movie where the Buddha is in a fishing boat and he makes a comparision of extremes compared to tightening strings that look like a guitar back then and he say you must follow the middle way. Oh yeah! There is also that pattern of prophethood where they leave their communtiy before starting the prophetic mission. Buddha left his community too.

Now, I'm curious about Confusious(sp?)

btw u might be interested in learning about zoroaster, or zarathustra

he was a persian prophet from way back in the day
alot of his tteachings reflect islamic teachings though much was corrupted by the pagan practices of the time

interestingly enough
the aryans, persians who practiced zoroastianism, migrated to india and mixed their culture with the native dravidians

the result was hinduism
and thats what buddha came from

al salamo alaykom peter,
first i would like to congratulate you for that talent show :)
I just wanted to say that Zoroastrianism was not the oldest monotheistic religion, but I think that religion of Akhenaton, the Egyptian pharao was. I'm not sure though, Zoroastrianism could be older.
Anyways, good to hear from you, good luck on whatever you want to do :)

P.S. do you have a website where you have songs that you recorded or wrote?
